This video is a song showing students getting excited about reading and explaining all the reasons why reading is fun. It also lists many of the genres that students can choose from when picking out a book. I plan on showing this video to my 4th grade students at the beginning of the year. Hopefully it will get them excited about reading, also.
This video is hilarious! We show clips on our morning news show, and I think this this one is a keeper! Thanks for finding and posting it. What about flash mobs? Our principal wanted to do a flash mob when all the kids were in the gym in the mornings but we couldn't wrap our head around how to do it, but I can see something like this.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic!!! There's actually quite a lot of information in the lyrics. Even on a first grade level, I could use something like this to discuss the different reasons we read.
